Shah Faesal pays tributes to Mirwaiz Farooq, Ab Ghani Lone | KNO

Srinagar, May 21 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) chief Shah Faesal Monday paid tributes to Late Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Shaheed Abdul Ghani Lone on their death anniversary. While paying tributes to Late Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq on Monday, Shah Faesal as per a statement issued to KNO remembered his contribution to the Kashmiri’s struggle for their socio-political rights. He said Late Molvi Farooq was not only the religious leader of Kashmiri people but represented their political aspirations as well adding that till his death, he vouched for resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance to the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said mission of Late Mirwaiz for a self reliant and prosperous state would continue to be pursued. Shah Faesal further said that Shaheed Abdul Ghani Lone was a great visionary whose main contribution was that he mentored a cadre of new leaders who continue to guide the State even today. It may be recalled that Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq was assassinated on 21 May 1990 by gunmen at his residence and Abdul Ghani Lone was killed on 21st May 2002 during Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq's death anniversary congregation. Shah Faesal has prayed for eternal peace to the soul of Late Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Abdul Ghani Lone and has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to his son and successor, Mirwaiz Dr. Molvi Umar Farooq.(KNO)
